Holiday booking and Fees
Be prepared for holidays! When scheduling services during busy holiday periods, be sure to allow sufficient time to secure your booking and ensure excellent care for your pet.
The updated holiday fee is now $10.75 per service.
As of June 1, 2023, we've made some changes on our service rates. Existing clients prior to this date can enjoy a loyalty rate until Dec. 31, 2023 before the new rates will apply. Please see the full rates and fees page for more details.
Booking Restrictions and Fees
At Paleo Pet Sitting, we're dedicated to top-tier pet care, even in urgent situations. Though our usual booking requires five days' notice, we understand emergencies arise. To ensure our pet sitters are available, last-minute bookings have fees:
Last-Minute Booking (Within 5 Days):
Booking within five days incurs a $10 per visit fee. This covers scheduling adjustments and resource allocation.
Emergency Booking (Within 24 Hours):
Within 24 hours, a $25 per visit fee applies. It compensates pet sitters for quick rearrangements, ensuring your pets are cared for.
These fees ensure our responsive service during unexpected times. We appreciate your support, contributing to our pet sitters' dedication.
Note: These fees are added to regular rates. They're clearly detailed in your invoice. For questions, contact our office. We're here to ensure your pet care needs are met efficiently.
We accept credit card payments through Stripe, including major brands: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Our secure Pet Sitter Plus software stores cards safely for automatic processing.
Weekly invoices are generated on Mondays. You'll receive a detailed invoice for review, covering services from the upcoming Monday to Sunday. Changes can be made upon invoice receipt. Your card is charged the Monday after services in the prior week. Consecutive service periods get separate invoices, relevant for trips spanning two weeks.
Automatic Payment: Convenient and secure. Processed weekly for prior services, ensuring uninterrupted service.
Manual Payment: Needed 7 days before service or immediately for bookings within that timeframe. Payment required for full confirmation of services.
Our cancellation policy aims to ensure excellent services and fairly compensate our staff. To maintain employee commitment, a policy addressing last-minute cancellations is vital.
NO OVERBOOKING: Once services are contracted, we turn away new business to accommodate your schedule. Visits cancelled without proper notice incur charges based on criteria below.
Online portal: Cancel services at least 7 days before without charges.
If within 7 days, contact us via specified channels.
Fee or credit applied based on time of cancellation (see details below).
72+ hours advance: Receive credit for future services valid for up to 6 months of the original service date.
Within 72 hours: No credit, cancellation fee applies (equal to cancelled visits' value).
This policy maintains our dedicated pet care team. Reserving their time ensures consistent and exceptional service. We appreciate your cooperation, as this policy upholds the quality of pet care services you expect.
